The monitor is easy to set up and it only takes a couple minutes to load the software. The only problem I have with this monitor is the speaker quality. I replaced a HP w1907 monitor with this S2031a monitor. The w1907 had a decent set of speakers built right into it the monitor. However, I give this monitors speakers a rating of 2 out of 10. If you buy this monitor, spend $20 to get the HP speakers if you don't already have speakers. If this monitor had the same quality of speakers the w1907 has I would have given it a top rating.

I bought two of these for a dual-display system running Windows 7 with an Nvidia GTS450 graphics card. They are great monitors and with coupon codes and such, they seem a very good value. In particular, I like the matted screen, as they make reflections, glare and fingerprints all non-issues. My only issue is I like them so much, now I wish I selected the slightly larger models, as more of a good thing may have been even better. That's a good problem though, and it was my choice at the time.

Shopped around quite a bit for a monitor, decided on this one for the price & the HP name. Picture has rich color & very crisp. Photos look great on it. I like the sleep feature on the monitor because it actually works(the sleep on my last monitor didn't work very well). Sound is weak, use speakers instead.

Just Received my two S2031a LCD monitors which were delivered two days after ordering with no special shipping. HP is great about that.
I have one monitor hooked to Analog and the 2nd to Digital om my Nvidia G-Force 7300 graphics card and these babies are so clear I can't tell the difference between my analog and the digital.
The installation was very simple, amost automatic. I have Windows XP Pro and the auto driver it installed was fine but I did installed the HP drivers that came with the monitors anyway.
I thought the price was great and I would definately recommend these to anyone needing good resolution. I did not utilize the built-in speakers in the monitor because I have a sound system. I recommend buying a sound system because theye are only about $30 for a good system and sound great for all music lovers.

When i first saw the slickdeals notice this was on sale for 64.99 i thought it was either a misprint or over,to my surprise it wasn't and was thrilled to receive it in 2 days with free shipping in perfect condition, i love it i have it hooked to my laptop and although i can't get the native resolution (computer graphics capability) it is very close. It came with both a VGA cable and DVI cable unusual for a monitor in this price range.

I got a great deal on this monitor with a coupon code , so I didnt have the bar set very high for it, but i must say I'm impressed with it. its not the nicest monitor in the world , but for a relatively low end piece it does a fantastic job. The color accuracy is very good , pictures look vibrant , there is no glare whatsoever , it looks good on my desk. I'm very pleased.
There are cons however , the built in speakers seem a tad weak , but thats not really an issue for me , and there is no HDMI input. Also for some odd reason mine came with a DVI cable , a VGA cable and a 3.5mm headphone cable , yet no power cord? Luckily i have one that will work lying around.
Note: this is a 1600x900 monitor , so it won't be as sharp as a 1080p one , but its still plenty crisp , but I didn't buy it with that expectation.
