The ENVY computer only has two USB ports. The laser sensor on a USB port ties up the port can I use the MIDI port???? I have no idea how to use this port. I use the USB ports fdor my external read write CD's and for my USB memory stick.

Review 2 for HP x4000 Wireless Mouse (Winter Blue) with Laser Sensor
I like the feel of this mouse compared to other devices I have used (i.e. different types of Microsoft mouse devices). The shape and contour feels much more natural compared to other devices. The finger surface area is more ergonometric minimizing wrist movement. I also like the flip top surface for storage of the wireless USB interface. No more worries about losing the wifi connector during transport.

This product is exactly what I needed for my laptop and a replacement for a non functioning device I used on my desktop. The fact that I can pair it up with other peripherals is a bonus.

Review 6 for HP x4000 Wireless Mouse (Winter Blue) with Laser Sensor
It took contact with 3 different service reps to understand my simple mouse needs-wireless, compatible with HP desktop I got last yr, and was a full size mouse. But finally I got understood and the mouse was installed easily within 30 seconds...Now that is great. I just wish the sales reps were as good as the products.

Using a laptop is convenient but torturous when having to deal with the touch pad. Having a wireless mouse is like doubling the ease of using the laptop. I am hooked.

Review 10 for HP x4000 Wireless Mouse (Winter Blue) with Laser Sensor
The mouse has a great look and feel but all that is negated by the fact that it simple does not work. The on and off selector switch appears to be misaligned and will not allow the unit to be turned on. Unfortunately, I discovered after throwing the package away. Good thing Office Depot was on my way to school so I could swing in and pick up another mouse to use.

Review 13 for HP x4000 Wireless Mouse (Winter Blue) with Laser Sensor
I had reservations abut this mouse when I first ordered it because of some people saying it has a very loud "click". Everyone has their own opinion of what constitutes as "loud", so I can only speak for myself, but personally, I don't have any complaints; I haven't found it to be any louder than any other mice I've used. The only other thing I worried about was that the little USB dongle/laser sensor (thingy!) would eventually get lost if I took it out of the USB port, but the mouse has a storage slot for it inside, where the batteries are, and the sensor is so small that I've found I can just leave it in most of the time, even when I pack the laptop up in its case, without too much worry about it (or the port) being damaged. The new mouse took a little getting used to because it's shorter and "fatter" than my old LogiTech one, but it's grown on me, and it's gotten easier to grip with use. I haven't had the mouse long enough to prove the longevity of the batteries, but it is very responsive and works on every suface I've tried it on so far, and from a good 10-15 ft. away (maybe more, but I can't see the pointer from any further away, so I can't really test it!) and no problems with being right next to the USB sensor either. So, at this point in time, I'm very happy with it, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good wireless mouse.

Review 16 for HP x4000 Wireless Mouse (Winter Blue) with Laser Sensor
My HP x4000 Wireles mouse has freed me from my mouse getting snagged on objects on my desk , plus with the Link-5 tecknowledge I only need this one mouse for the three computers I use in my home. The plug and play made it a snap to install. I now just have to remember to turn the power off on it when I am done, but if I don't, not a problem, if it detects no movement for a wile it will automatically turn off.
