I order this printer with my HP All In One Pavilion and it is not compatible with windows 8. You would think HP would tell me when I ordered it and not offer as an option when I ordered it. I downloaded software from the website, but the photos are not printing right. I am very unhappy with HP and should have gone with dell.

This printer requires 4 toner cartridges. The total cost is $80+. It will not print, even in black and white if one cartridge is depleted. Be prepared to replace toner every 20 pages. This printer is a rip off. I found myself buying toner every two weeks. They actually advertise the four toners as a benefit. Even the XL cartridges are small. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This is my 2nd HP in two months, the first one wouldn't print, the paper feed gears broken & this 6600 model the scanner doesn't work. I like the HP name and the features this model offers. Disappointed I have to go through the hassle to have my computer company replace and reinstall a new printer. May choose EPSON next time.

First, the software didn't even attempt to load. I had to go online for software to install. After installation, the printer kept changing its IP address. Uninstalled and re-installed software with updates 8 times. Tried a 9th time. Same results. I was told twice that it was being moved up to the next level. 1 1/2 days later, still no support. I am returning this. Purchased last Friday. Finally gave up on it this morning. Not the HP I know and love...

I "was" happy when I first got this printer, but after awhile I became more and more disappointed.
The ink cartridges are expensive and I swear the ink disappears even though I seldom use color. Now it will NOT print in accurate color. I bought new HP magenta since printer said ink running low. Cleaned, double cleaned and triple cleaned heads. Unplugged and plugged back in. Will NOT print in red and so other colors do not come out right. I would not recommend this color printer.

I purchased the Officejet 6600 because I was hoping that by spending a little extra I could get a faster printer that would use less ink and have fewer problems communicating with my pc since it's an HP also. Well I got one out of 3. It sure does print fast recently I was able to print an address on a l00 flyers in less than 3 minutes. But as for ink, this printer has four separate cartridges and even in draft depletes color ink faster than any printer I've ever owned. The black cartridge is twice the size so it last a little longer. But get this if one of the color cartridges is empty you will not be able to print even in black. You are prevented from using refills or off brand ink because it will void your warranty. This printer is a computer by itself and will record and let hp know if you have used any product other than theirs. I constantly have problems with scanning and printing on both sides is a complicated process. I wish I would have purchased a cheaper printer with one color ink cartridge, I can live with slower speeds.

This printer has nice features but whether I turn it off or leave it in standby, it will go through a "system checkout" which lasts several minutes before and after printing. This tends to be irritating with it's cartridge moving around all the time making noise during this checkout. I feel it's an uncecessary feature whatever it's trying to do.

I have used all sorts of Printers/Faxers/Scanners and well this one is not the best. Every scan is scanned sideways. There was no correcting it and the printer has very bad shaking issues. The features are amazing and has very good color printing but would not recommend this to anyone.

This is my fourth hp officejet printer and it will be my last.
Was too diffcult to get setup wirelessly to a desktop and a laptop. The wizard sites did not resolve my setup problems and after downloading everything available, I still had to spend over 3 hours with two seperate tech support personnel to get everything working. Haven't had much experience with actual printing, faxing , copying as yet so remains to be seen how performance is. not liking 4 seperate color cartigages.

This copier is noisy when trying to copy from the paper feeder and extremely slow. The paper crunches as it is beeing fed and copies come out lopsided even after I try to adjust the side arms that control the feeding. I am actually thinking of returning this copier. Seting it up and getting it to communicate with the computer was not easy. It took a couple of tries to have it communicate with the wireless network. Do not recommend this printer at all!!!

No surprise this all-in-one has quality looking printing capabilities as it is an HP. Great wireless, faxing, and scanning capabilities as well. However, this printer is the loudest printer I have ever heard. I would suggest buying ear plugs to go along with this product and also not to use it at night if people are sleeping close by because it will wake them up.

The printer itself is a great value, but not having the option to manually print on both sides is a real bummer. I was aware that the printer didn't have automatic duplexing, but expected the software to provide a manual two-sided printing capability. It shouldn't be too hard to implement this feature in the drivers. All it takes is printing the odd pages first, prompting the user to flip the paper and then printing the even pages. Other than that, I really like this printer. I almost regret having to return it (bought it at Walmart, reason why I missed a customer review on this site bemoaning this very same shortcoming.)

I had the previous model which was slow and gave it to my husand.
I have to hit the touch screen repeatedly to use it.
Also the driver for Windows 8 must be downloaded.

I had purchased another HP printer and then called the HP store to determine if I had the right printer to meet my needs. The HP sales agent was helpful and encouraged me to buy the HP 6600, which I did and returned the other printer to the store.
A feature I wanted was duplex printing, which I was told was available on the 6600 - it is not. The other problem is printing customized paper. Spent hours trying to get it to print only to receive error paper size does not work. I understand it might be an issue with the print driver and I will need to download another driver from the internet. I am satisfied with the 6600 but the two items will be an issue for future use. The one great feature is the wireless printing, now all my computers and iPad's are connected.

I like the printer except for one thing. My HP laptop worked just fine and no errors. After I installed the printer, my laptop would get the "blue screen of death" saying there was a hardware or software issue and my computer will be shut down. Spent 4hrs on the phone with support and problem not solved yet. Uninstalled the printer and no more "blue screen of death" HP needs a bug fix to solve this issue...

I really like this machine but I had major difficulty using the scanner function. The HP scanner program was not syncing with my Window XP properly. Every time I used the scanner function it would completely crash. After calling HP three times and talked to three different technical reps I finally got it resolved. I am not sure if I will purchase another printer from HP.

The printer works well, and the setup was pretty easy. I was not prompted to insert the CD, so I did it anyway. The print quality is excellent. The delay between clicking to print and actual printing is a bit longer than I'd like, but I can live with it. The printer is louder than I'd like, but again I can live with it. Good product!
