No problems, plug and play. No problems downloading additional software and updates from Logitech site. Smooth scrolling either in fast mode or click mode. All buttons fit your hand with ease. Great product for laptop or desktop.

I ordered the M705 cordless mouse for use with my HP Envy 15 Laptop because I seem

This is my first experience with wireless products, and this mouse, also marketed as Marathon Mouse, doesn't disappoint. I thought "hyperscroll" was just another gimmick, but within the first few hours of surfing, I found myself loving it. You press the button behind the scroll wheel and it basically takes off the "brakes." You can spin the wheel down to the bottom of a long page or list without messing with scrollbars. And speaking of scrolling, if you download the software from Logitech, "leaning" on the scroll wheel on one side or the other will scroll a wide page side to side. And two buttons at the top of the thumb curve will page you back or forward.
These features I described are good because it keeps you from having to pick up and move the mouse a lot. The reason you don't want to do that is because it's kind of heavy. It's called "marathon" because it will last up to three years on the AA batteries because there are two of them. You can actually take one out because they aren't in a circuit, but then it's not "marathon" anymore; however, the remaining battery can be placed in either spot changing the center of gravity. So it's entirely up to the user as to what they want to do (but I still think it's heavy).
I'm definitely happy with the mouse, and the dinky little receiver is great, too. It has a long range and I was able to pair it with the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard (not available here) using just the one, which frees up a USB port. (Meaning you don't have to get a dedicated combo set.) I have no problems recommending it.
