This printer is an excellent choice and an excellent price too! It's very easy to setup. In fact it practically sets up itself. It found my Wi-Fi by itself and started printing within minutes of setup.

This is my 4th HP Printer since the mid 90's. I've done the research on other brands, but there is nothing that compares to HP's functionality, quality, and great looks. I had no problems setting up this printer and the wireless connection going on all 3 computers in very little time, less than an hour. The cost of the inkjet cartridges isn't much more than what I was paying for my Officejet K60. I'm not replacing that one, but just adding to it. The K60 stills works great, but I wanted a printer with wireless functionality so I can use my laptop anywhere in the house and print. The quality of the printing in color or black/white is outstanding. I won't buy anything but HP Printers!

Bought myself a Christmas present and glad I did. First, it arrived quickly and in tact. I opened the box, reviewed the quickstart instructions, loaded the CD and followed the install procedure. Was the quickest and easiest install I have ever completed in recent memory. The wireless setup was simple, as was the fax. I have not tried the ePrint from my BB yet but will adventure there shortly. So far I am extremely happy with this purchase. Not sure why the HP website suggested I purchase a Bluetooth device as an acessory. But all in all very happy with the purchase.

My old 6310 HP All In One died after 5-6 years so when I started looking for a replacement the 8600 had everything I was looking for. My computer is a desk top but wireless capable so I used the wireless setup. It was very easy--all you have to do is plug the printer in and follow the on screen instructions. There are things you will do first before connecting to your computer so just follow the instructions and there should be no problem. There are so many things I like about this ALL In One. To name a few, the paper is out of sight enclosed in the bottom of the printer, will print double sided automatically without having to manually turn the page, there are no visible numbers until you are ready to fax, you can save your incoming (black only) faxes to the computer instead of printing them out, you can scan to email or network folder, there are so many advantages with the 8600 PRO. With the $50 discount, I paid as much for this with all the features as I did for the old one years ago. One little complaint is it's a little bigger than I thought but is worth it. It's a great printer and worth the price even without the $50 off. I'd highly recommend it.

I have always owned HP printers but the software that comes with this printer is a step backwards from my oldest HP printer. The Memory and USB slots don't worked unless you do some manual configuration that I still couldn't get to work. No one should have to do this manual tweak since my other two HP printers did this automatically from the software install. I could transfer the pictures from my camera memory over to my computer with ease. Now the install only allows you to print from the memory card on the printer and not save or transfer your photos to ones computer unless you do this extra work. The other step back is dealing with the scan software. Previous HP printer software had a feature to auto straighten the scan before accepting and saving as well as it was very user friendly to easily add an additional page to the scan. Also, the scan wood automatically save you next scan as Scan1, then Scan2 etc. Not so with this software. These are all very simple software writes they they already have in the older printer's software programs. I am very disappointed with the HP software since software with older computer could do things this printer's software doesn't. A real step back just because HP seems to be getting lazy with their software writers. Just copy the older software and tweak it to fit this printer. There really isn't that much difference so I don't understand why they released this printer with this software loss. Fix it HP.

I have had extremely hard time getting this printer setup. I wanted to stay with my High speed
50mbs and ad this to my custom Built Hi Performance PC with only excellent grade hardware.
I needed a new Inkjet multi-printer which had more features than I would expect from printers in the price range. I tried unsuccesfully to get any real tech support. I am the PC specialist for over 6 PC's.which all perform much better than expected. I am currently running the printer though an USB cable 2.0. I am not satisfied because of all kinds of road blocks with setting up printer.I hope others out their are not experiencing the same kind of troubles.

The Office Jet Pro 8600 was very easy to set up and sync with our computers, especially the wireless link. Also the E- print link with my Smart phone is super. Now no matter where I am I can take photos or do inventory folders and then E-Print and when I get home they are already.

The only problem I am having with this printer is that it frequently pulls more than one sheet of paper totally or partially through, causing printing on more than one page. Have not been able to find a fix.

the printer was easy to connect to my home network and doesn't seem to fly through ink cartridges like my previous printer. Both the copy and print features seem to work flawlessly. I do not use the fax feature so I cannot rate this function. Shipping and delivery were quick and the financing arrangement was convenient. I would recommend this printer based on my experience thus far.
